DID THE GHOUL VANISH

"I am Madam Keeler, your Seer to the Spirits. If you check below you will see a matrix of 49 ghouls that have shown up in my seances. You might want to count the ghouls in the grid but what you have is 7 rows and 7 columns for 49 curses (7 x 7 = 49)."

"Should you decided to print your own please cut along the black lines and you should have 5 distinct pieces of the matrix as shown below. A diagonal top piece, two large vertical pieces, a piece of 3, and a piece of 1. Remember to keep an eye on the ghoul count which should be at 49 still. "

"Now we are going to remove one of the ghouls by removing the single ghoul. This will leave you with 48 ghouls."

"Now that you have removed a ghoul and have counted to make sure that you only have 48 ghouls, lower the piece with 3 ghouls on it so it is out of the way for the time being. It should look as below when you are finished."

"With the piece with 3 ghouls lowered a little out of the way, swap the two large pieces with each other as shown below."

"Now raise the piece with the 3 ghouls and slide it back into place and count the ghouls again. Remember when you removed one of the ghouls? You will find that you still have 49 ghouls despite removing. Once again this is further proof of my association with the spirits. This completes my seance, please pay on your way out."
